The Lakehouse Pub & Grille opened its doors as "Uncle Charlie's Restaurant 75 years ago on July 4, 1931. Under the direction of chef owners, Brad Burns and Fred Field the best lakeside dining in sourthern Vermont is alive, swinging and open "year-round".
The public response to the new ownership of the Lakehouse was so encouraging that the owners kept the doors open through the winter of 2005-06 and will continue year-round operation of this family friendly restaurant.
In the spring, summer or fall arrive by boat or by car. In the winter months zip in by snowmobile or auto. Whenever and however you choose to arrive at the Lakehouse Pub & Grille you will find great menu offerings, the freshest fish, beef, chicken, "and our famous ribs", and a variety of specials that showcase the ability of the chef-owners. You can also look forward to the extensive wine list, lunch, Sunday brunch and children's menu.
If you like music to dine by, head for the Lakehouse this summer: Wednesday for Sandra Wright, Thursday features Rick Reddington, Friday you will find James Mee and Friends and Sunday brunch brings the light jazz sounds of the Green Brothers. On Saturday afternoons a variety of great local artists play while you have a cocktail at the Dock Bar.
Speaking of bars . . . the Lakehouse offers eight beers on tap, including Long Trail, Otter Creek and Stella. Sip one of the many wines available by the glass or indulge in a bottle from the ever-expanding wine list. The friendly bartenders are ready to mix up your favorite cocktail or frozen concoction. A sample from the summer drink list will cool you down and rev up your appetite for one of the fantastic appetizers available inside, in air conditioned comfort or on the deck, lakeside.
